Every year at the begining of May, the Kosice celebrates the "Days ofKosice". The year 2006 is a special year for Kosice because it hasmany anniversaries. 7. May - the biggest Kosice holiday. Itcommemorates the day in 1369 when the king Ludovit Velky constitutedthe first Kosice symbol - we call it ERB. We remember this day everyyear since 1995 from the 1st till the 7th May in a week full of funand entertainment. An important anniversary is also the funeral odFrantisek II. Rakoczi in the ST.Elizabeth Cathedral which happenned100 years ago. And also a half century ago the Kosice steam railroadwas built. Today it is an attraction for children.
